Design Process

1  Understanding

Understanding the use, the purchase desicion and channel to market

Sourcing key information for the project:

    – User needs and desires
    - Environment / Use Case
    - Performance Targets
    - Constraints
    - Price / Cost Targets
    - Market size / Expected Volumes
    - Constraints
    - Development Budget

All required to design the right product

2  Concepting / Visualisation

Explore different ideas and directions for the product and visualise them

The second step is to explore various different product architecture and aesthetic design directions. The development of multiple concepts provides opportunity for the ‘best’ concept to be advanced rather than the ‘first’, as it allows your team to assess the merits of each concept against the market and users needs as well as cost implications.

  • Ideation
  • Concept Sketches
  • Concept rendering
  • Presentations

3  Detailed Design

Where we develop the concept into a virtual product

Taking the product concept and building the detail to create the full product using state of the art CAD tools.

This stage leverages our skill and extensive experience in Component Sourcing, Engineering, Production Methods and User Interface Design to create better product designs.

The 3D CAD models developed in this stage are crucial for the subsequent stages but also provide you the customer with intricate understanding of the design with great visual tools.

4  Prototyping

Try , play, use… Speak to your customers, sell to investors. Work out whats wrong and right

5  Testing

Testing prototypes can verify ideas and lead to improvements to the design
