Ever noticed how the wonderful and infinite variations between individuals – the very thing that makes life interesting – also makes them a real bother to predict?

It’s like you think you know someone until Christmas sneaks around (strange how it seems to surprise people every year even though its been on the same date for a good couple of millennia now), and you head out to buy them a present.

Having walked the best part of a mini marathon through throngs of punters (all of them wearing a harangued look like something big just snuck up behind them, tapped them on the should and yelled, ‘It’s Christmas!’) you find yourself tired and footsore at the end of a register que at the end of the day, deciding on a) a book that you actually want to read or b) an album you’ve heard them mention before but can’t quite recall if it was in a positive or negative way, but at least you know they’ve heard of it, and at this late stage that’ll do.

At best, you hedge your bets and get that ‘special someone’ a voucher – so they can come back later and get what they really want. It’s ok – we’ve all been there.

Wouldn’t it be so much easier if you could just take them with you and get them to pick out the things they want? Some people, wise people, actually do this, and go on to have a merry, disappointment free Christmas. Their loved ones open presents, without trepidation, and find something they actually need. Brilliant!
