Kenji Eu, BE Product Design Engineering
Design Engineer
With skills in hand sketching, concept development, 3D CAD, and mechanical design/detailing, Kenji covers all stages of the design process. He enjoys the challenge of finding the best aesthetic, ergonomic and functional solutions for specific product designs, whilst his perfectionist approach to his work results in a well resolved outcome.
Skills
Product Design and Engineering
Having worked both locally and internationally, Kenji has a range of design experience. He has been involved in conceptual, styling and manufacturing design of consumer products at DBC (Des Berry Consultants), and Edgetec Systems in Carrum Downs, Victoria. Internationally, Kenji worked at the rollercoaster and thrill ride company Intamin/Ridetrade in Liechtenstein, where he was employed as a concept designer, model maker and 3D CAD designer.
Sensitive Design
Kenji completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Product Design in 2007, with honours, at Swinburne University. During this period he also obtained his Diploma of Sustainability; driven to do so by his appreciation of environmental issues and an awareness of the potential impact a product design engineer can have in creating economic, sustainable and environmentally aware products.
Details
With an appreciation for the finer details in design, Kenji will often be found tapping, bending, smelling (??) and generally picking apart other designs to see how they work and ‘feel’. Designs that are of particular interest are those that invoke emotion through form, texture, detailing and intuitive human interface.
